Looks cool. so what's image based modelling, for those of us who don't have access to issue #27 of 3D world?

http://www.d-vw.com/dsculptor/about/about_d_sculptor.htm

"D Sculptor 2 is a program that allows you to quickly create sophisticated 3-D models of real-world objects using nothing but a PC and an ordinary digital camera. It differs from previous 3-D modelling software products as it is able to model not only regular polygonal objects, but also intricate organic shapes".

Standard at £500.00 (UK pound sterling)
Professional at £900.00 "

Hey Jimzip, issue 27 was out june 2002, you could probably get it again at www.3dworldmag.com

Allright, heres the new model with some stuff done right the second time around :)

The biggest problem was cleaning up the uvs after importing the model into Lightwave.
This first pic shows the UVs that was exported from Dsculptor then the final Uvs created in LW. I had to creat a atlas UV map from the model, jump over to Layout, shut off the lights, turn up global intensity to 100%, surface bake and image to the new UV's, fix the Uvseams in photoshop, then reaplly to the new atlas Uvmap.

Just a quick update with the statues added to there plate. The animation isnt finnished and its tracked manually in lightwave so theres still some quirks, but, its started.
