A very strange audio observation in VT2
Signal-1 sent from JVC D9 VTR output (+4) recorded directly into Toaster Card input (-10), Balanced Cables.
Signal-2 (same segment) sent into Mackie input (-15 pad) and sent directly back out with unbalanced cables into the Toastercard (-10) input.
On Toaster playback, though both volumes read exactly the same, audio from signal 1 that went from my +4 deck directly into the Toastercard is Much Louder!
I even imported both signals into Sound Forge, again, both reading exactly the same on the meter, yet signal 1 is still
much louder. I just wonder how this could be?
It really goes to show how critical it is that we eventually get to use other pro audio cards that have +4 input.
