Speed Modeling Challenge #62- All Hallows' eve
--------------------------------------------------------------------
*************************************************
Rules:
1. Every week there will be a subject for you to model along with a time limit. You should spend no longer than the allocated time, then post a render of your model. As in most challenges like this, your honesty on modelling times is essential. How you interpret the brief is up to you as long as the final model conforms to what is asked for.
2. Post a render of your model (min 800x600 pixels) in this thread with a wireframe.
3. LightWave should be used for modelling. 3rd party Plug ins are allowed.
4. You can enter as many times as you like, posting each in this thread. If you run over the time, the model can still be posted but won't be subject to the judging.
5. Time spent on texturing, setting up a scene for a render and rendering is not included in the allocated period.
**Please mention whether or not you would be happy to share the model.**

I did not know that... I thought this was appropriate given the subject matter, but I can always change it if people think otherwise...

A week long challenge is best, it'll be more fun and in any case...Saturday is almost here.
I hoping to have a stab at this one...pun intended :hey:

57min modeling, and countless hours tweaking the weight maps and textures. I got tired of sitting there texturing the pumpkin skin I figured I make some stuff for the scene so 20mins modeling the tree and another 20 on the leaves. 15min post in photoshop.

Here's an easy one:
A kid's holloween candy bag/carrier.
Had a few false inspirational starts with it but...
Modeling: 1/2 hour
Texture: 1/2 hour
Render: about 1 minute

that looks pretty good James simple geometry and to the point.

Mike Green.. hmmm.. Haven't I met you @ Team17 one time?
I was then Advanced Gravis head of marketing and I went to Leeds for a day. Also remember a PC version of Worms that came with pre-defined team names and Gravis was one of them.
Am I correct?

Yup, that's me. Left there a jut couple of years ago! I'm amazed you remembered me. You'll have to remind me who you were, I don't think I ever got anyone introduced to me, just me to them LOL
As for the contest, I think Kuzey has got a well deserved win. Who'd have thought the reaper could be so cute. Congrats!
Congrats Kuzey! Nice model and render there

I would have killed to work for Team17 , Worms was da bomb ! , always remember the original dos / win95 ? version , it had a black book of transparent codes you looked up and typed in to access the game . I quickly found out if held the space bar for 4 lines of characters it also gave you access ."one of my first many hacks " .
was Andy Davidson Scottish ?
Team17 Rulez Respect !

:offtopic:
I remember my visit there pretty good. They showed me around and I think I met Mike there. Think Debby showed me around together with one of the testers, last name Field I think. Played Worms for the 1st time as it was supposed to be, on the Amiga :) Actually just spoke to Debby recently.
Right, next speed challenge I'm gonna give it a swing too.

Is the new topic already set?
If not.. just saw ThisIsIt. They made some 3D stuff there as well. Perhaps Jackson could be a topic?
Do not get me wrong, not a desperate fan of Jackson here, just popped into my mind, could be interesting :)
