Demo of LW.. anyone??

Anyways, I'll be honest and say I've been a Maya guy for the last 5 years (had it at school), but found myself interesting in trying out Lightwave as an alternative since graduating. I was hoping if someone could first of all tell me where there's a demo of Lightwave around, and secondly how would one get his hands on materials to learn this program??

You can download LightWave [7.5] DE from NewTek’s site:

It contains both PC & MAC Install, some flash walkthrous
and a good flash presentation of the software and community: user's gallery, links and more.

Hi,


I downloaded the DE version from Newtek, but it doesn't seem to install. I'm running OS X 10.2.6, and from the Mac_Install folder, I couldn't find any Install program, I launched the web browser which asked me to press on a link to launch the setup program, but nothing happened.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem, I need to install the discovery edition on 20 eMacs by next week, so i download it, and there is no way to install!

I'm guessing i need to enter some Terminal commands, but i don't know much about that...

Can anyone help?
