:help:
My client has been given a lot of files that were recorded on the Tricaster Pro, pre MPEG2 file format. They were recorded with the NT25 codec which was resident in the Tricaster Pro we were using last year. The client wanted the files of the productions and of course needs the NT25 codec. At one point I knew where to find it on the NewTel site, but don't seem to be able to find it now. Can anyone give me the link? HELP
Bill

Bill, Bill, Bill, what you need to do is tell the client you will convert the files to something he can use and CHARGE him for it! :D
Seriously, I think if you go to your product registration page there should be a codec pack you can download. I think NewTek is fine with sharing it, but you might confirm that.

Thanks Ted,

I do wish there was an ethical way I could charge the client. I would be dealing with over 1.2 TB of content. But just bercause NewTek has a cool, higher quality codec, my client would not find that much of a justificantion since they barely undrstand video file formats in the first place.

But thanks for reminding me that the download was on the registration site. I suppose that makes sense (to somebody) but I had totally forgotten. Next year, I will have to be dealing with the infamous MPEG2 codec. I did encourage them to get SpeedEdit so they can at least trim up the "raw" files. It is a case of having the feeling that they can do it "in-house" for less than I would charge. Maybe that is true, but usually it is not as you know, all things being equal. But if you add editing to the receptionists list of duties, you might be money ahead.:bangwall:

Thanks again,
Bill
