Does anybody know if there is a way to read in IGES files or STL files. Thanks.

Try rhino trial. It converts iges files to lwo or 3ds.

Right Hemisphere Deep Exploration will do a great job on STL files!

You can find someone with alias Studio tools adn try to convert point 3d cloud form lightwave to igs.

I'm the guy who wrote the Import/Export script. It doesn't work on the Mac (yet), but it seems fine on the PC.

About halfway down, there are several nice shots of a model that's been printed out using the exporter.

Thanks ChromeCow for the STL script. I just tried it with a CAD model assembly and it imported really well. I also tried qemmloss or whatever it's called to reduce the number of polys by half and it still looked good. Thanks again for the new tool in the toolbox!:D
