There was a ADT commercial that had a effect where binary code was "crawling" and flowing along the walls. Over sharp corners and all the contours of a house. Any have a clue on how to do this in LW? Thanks for any help!

try using odd mapping methods... IE: cylindric mapping on a square..... Might do the trick...

I haven't seen the particular commercial, but there are many clips using similar techniques, so I'm sure I'm allowed to add my 2 cents.
Normally this involves using animated image sequences and mapping them on to the geometry. This can be as simple as planar mapping for walls but would require UV mapping for curved piping, wires etc.. If you are looking for a kind of "Matrix" style code effects, using Anarchy Text ( http://www.digitalanarchy.com ) would possibly be the best way to create your image sequences. If you only have LW, I would create some images with numbers and letters in photoshop and the use them as sprite HVs attached to PFX in Layout.

Set up an image sequence You can make a random stream with a handful of photoshop stills.(just change the numbers don't try to slide them about you can do that in the surface editor. Use them as alphas to put a coloured text layer on/over the walls and animate their position in the surface editor using the envelope. Or a really fast way would be to project them onto your walls with spotlights. Clip maps are useful for text as well.
hope this is of some use

they used particles in maya for that commercial. messed around and got a similar setup with collisions and particles.
not the most efficient, but it works.
