Hi,

Having read the rather distasteful demise of what was a very intriguing F.K thread with an awesome example of modelling/texturing until.... well you know the rest.

So here is my WIP offering to hopefully turn this whole thing into a more upbeat note. The first picture is Freddy without any of his bump mapping or textures which, due to my machine being re-formatted, I will have to start them all over again as I very cleverly did not save them.

So he doesn't look like much without them....

I've just started working on his glove. The model itself currently has 5 endomorphs for growling (the one you see), smiling, the letters e and i and mouth closed.

I plan to do a full animation with him once I've modelled the rest of his body (I've come up with a full storyline entitled "Freddy's PCs - A Nightmare On Tottenham Way" - it kind of ties in with another piece of work I did.... anyway, that's a while away yet.

The modelling, I'm sad to say (especially around the ears) is not great so any feedback I would really appreciate. For the story, it won't matter as the texturing will cover up the major flaws. But for a nice close-up I really want to improve him a little.

The second picture is one with all his textures and bump maps applied - I entered this into NewtekPro's gallery sometime ago - and it got in! Yippee!!!

Rest assured, this is my work and it was/is being done in LightWave.

Sorry for the length of this post....

Adrian.

.... and now Freddy with 20,000 layers of goop on his face (actually 40 layers in Photoshop).

A tad dark perhaps... A bit heavy on the texture... green?

Yes it is a bit dark, and certainly heavy on textures. Actually it's heavy on everything!

It will have to wait until I re-do the textures.

BTW Jack I don't understand what you mean...

hmmm.... it's total c**p
hmmm.... interesting or
hmmm.... I don't believe this was done in LW?
