In my last job we would basically talk complete gibberish all day...it was an unfortunate by-product of having two extremely sarcastic people that have been friends, band-mates and co-workers for many years working together in a hot, uncomfortable garage.

No nicknames for 3d apps but we would sometimes work with nerds, often 'get numeric on it's ***', do a flip-mo (flip polys), expand erections in photoshop, increase the pickles, use monte cristo radiosity, adjust the anti-anusing....I could go on all day. Basically we'd narrate almost every action we did throughout the day with special tools or actions having a special phrase to accompany them...It was fine when it was just us but the new guy would get pretty irritated with it :D
