Hi;

I hate to sound like a real newbee, but I quess I am,

I need some help with gettin my lightwave to startup using the config files that are located on my animation hd H:\newtek.

I recently reainstalled lw onto a new machine and the startup wants to use the config default location. C:\documents and settings. I cannot remember how I was able to move the before and the manual cannot help.

1) Create a shortcut to LightWave / Modeller, or find the existing ones

2) Right click and bring up the properties for each shortcut

3) Find the 'Target:' field

4) Add the following (in bold) to the end:

C:\LightWave\Programs\lightwav.exe -cc:\LightWave\config

-c is the switch for re-directing the config path

c:\LightWave\config is the new path

Note: NO space between '-c' and 'c:\LightWave\config'

That's it!

Check ur LW manual(version 7) on page# 1051 Appendix 7.
