Hi!
I would like to inform that our new tool WeightPolygonGroups v1.0 has been released and added to TrueArt's Modeling Pack.
WeightPolygonGroups is LightWave Modeler interactive tool for applying weight map. It replaces a couple built-in tools and slow LScripts. Because it's real compiled executable, it's hundred times faster than equivalent scripts (especially when there is many connected polygon groups).

You can read more about new tool here:
http://modelingpack.trueart.eu
Couple examples of usage:
http://www.trueart.pl/Products/Plug-Ins/WeightPolygonGroups/Graphics/Small/WeightPolygonGroups_1.png
(spheres are treated as connected polygon groups, and each of them is receiving different weight. 1st one will have Start=0.0, 2nd Start+Step*1=0.5, 3rd Start+Step*2=1.0).
http://www.trueart.pl/Products/Plug-Ins/WeightPolygonGroups/Graphics/Small/WeightPolygonGroups_4.png
(in this example weight maps are completely randomized in range -1.0 to 1.0).
Best Regards!
