Hello
Is it possible to put video or image sequence to a morphing model so that the video stays in correct place?
I don't have much experience with the uv mapping thing, but I know it solves the problem with single textures. But can it handle videos or image sequences?

Not exactly sure what you are asking, but If I think I do, then no, you don't need UV mapping. I asked this type of question before and can be found in the archives of this forum.

It is a long thread, but near the bottom you might find the answer you are looking for.

Hello
The situation is this:
I have a object and I need to put a video as a surface in it. Like if I had a modelled tv, and I was trying to put some program in the screen, eq weather forecast or something. Ok, but now I have to distort the object. The video would not follow the distortion correctly if I understand correctly. UV mapping is usually used in these kind of situations where the object distorts, eg with bones or morph targets. But the queastion in does UV mapping work with video files? I havent really used UV mapping yet, just learning.

In my post they tell you how to freeze the image to the polygons. Because when I was finished, I was able to explode the object and the video stayed mapped to the proper surface.

If you make the UV map for 1 pic or video (sequences)
And don't change the map in your object (ie number of points or polys)
then pic or sequence will follow UV throughout morphs.
This is how the great planitary explosions are done with the exploding ring.
I just did it on a fire dome that morphs from a flat plane (to which I UVd a fire map of 89 frames) that morphed into a dome shaped object.

Yes, the UV mapping thing worked. I just loaded a avi file for the picture. Originally I thinked that this must be mega hard thing to do, but it was must simpler after all.
Thanks for the help.
