Recently, when launching VT5 the program loads to the point of all the windows that I had open in the previous session opening. Then the "welcome to Speed Edit" window opens. This is where I have the option of opening a recent program, new project, etc. Unfortunately, it just sits there and nothing opens, as though it is frozen. I have waited up to 5 minutes and am still locked out. I have to crash the program out and re-launch VT5. I get the "VT5 was not exited cleanly" message which gives me the option to "reset all modules." If I choose no, the same launch problem occurs. Subsequently, I have to choose "reset all modules" and start over, opening windows that I want open and then open the project that I want. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Not yet, but it seems the problem involves SpeedEDIT. You might try launching it as a stand-alone app from the Windows Start menu, see if you can sort out the issue - then VT would likely launch ok.
