CG saving

When I save a cg I use that "save current project" option. In my bin I will have a .cg icon and a folder that contains an image of my cg that I just created. Both work on the timeline, but it just creates a lot of stuff in my bin. Is there a better way to save cg's?

Are you referring to saving a .cg file from CG Designer in VT, or some technique in SpeedEDIT (CG Post)?

Well, if you don't want the .cg files, you could simply use File>Save Image File.
